Ten women receive a monthly cash stipend from Haitian Connection. How they use that money is completely up to them, but they are not wasting it. They use it to purchase food supplements, pay for their children’s schooling, save some funds for a future building project, and cover medical expenses. The needs are many, and the women are counting on it and planning for it in their budgets. They are careful planners.
Some of the women have started a small business with those funds.
